If you would like to study a medical, biological or pharmaceutical subject in Germany and you do not yet have a recognized school-leaving qualification that entitles you to study at university, the M-course at our International Study Centre Thuringia in Jena is an excellent choice for you. With our M-course, we prepare you optimally for your medical studies at a German university or college.

In our classes, we will provide you with the necessary basic knowledge in the subjects German, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and English and thus prepare you excellently for your chosen field of study. In order to take part in our M-course, you will need a German language certificate at B1 level and a school-leaving certificate from your home country.

Who is our M-course suitable for?

The M-course at the Studienkolleg is aimed at international applicants who wish to study a medical, biological or pharmaceutical subject at a German college or university.

Our aim: To prepare you optimally for the internal assessment test (FSP) - your ticket to study in Germany.

After successfully completing the M-course at the International Study Centre Thuringia, you will receive an FSP certificate, which is recognised by all universities—including Technical Universities (TUs)—and colleges in Germany.

*Please note that the M-course qualifies you for this subject, but does not automatically guarantee you a place. In Germany, places for this subject are allocated via a numerus clausus (NC). What else do I need to know about the M-course?

Course duration: 1-2 Semester
Note: Semesters at the study center correspond to the length of university semesters, but do not take place at the same time.

Subjects:
German, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, English

Grades: Grades are awarded in each subject; you can only advance to the second semester and be admitted to the FSP if you have the required grades.

Final examination: Internal assessment test (FSP)

Written examination subjects:
German, either Biology or Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics

Exam time: June or December

Admission requirements:
Certificate from your home country (comparable to the German Abitur) and German level B1. See also application criteria.
